HAWC Partnerships for Children has partnered with Child Care Resource and Referral of Northeast Iowa to help with the important decisions you need to make regarding child care for your family.  Child Care Resource and Referral offers a database of child care providers in Howard, Allamakee, Winneshiek, and Clayton counties so you can easily locate available openings in your community.

The database offers information on the location of the child care providers, the times the providers are doing care, if the provider is registered with the Department of Human Services, and if the provider has openings and meets the needs of your family.

CCR&R is a community-based organization that provides assistance to families in search of Child Care and the Child Care Provider.  By providing advocacy, resources, and education, CCR&R helps meet your community’s need for affordable accessible child care. 

What is a Registered Provider? This is a person or program that is registered with the State of Iowa as an Child Development Home and provides child care for six or more children at any one time.

What is a Child Care Home? This is a person or program that is providing child care to five or fewer children at any one time and is not registered with the state of Iowa as a Child Development Home.
